Grover Robinson peered over the top of his half-rimmed reading glasses at the older faces around the teak table. He was alarmed by the remarks he was hearing in the boardroom that afternoon, but didnt know how to react. Grovers agitation grew as the meeting continued. But why wasnt anyone else bothered? This was only his third meeting as a board member, and he was still trying to learn the lay of the land. Should he say anything, or keep quiet? The situation was sticky, he thought, and it would have to handled delicately. But how?

Only thirty years old, Grover was on the board of Outland Company as a representative of the venture capital fund he was affiliated with, Southern Sun Venture, the fund that had given Outland its first round of financing. Still in its early years, Outland was an electronics company experiencing the usual pains and organizational hurdles that many growing organizations go through. But there was an air of confidence among the board members. They knew that the tough-minded leadership of Outlands president, John Walker, would keep the company effectively focused on its ambitious growth plan for its new cellular phone products.

John Walker was a strong, forceful man. But he had a breezy quality that usually kept board members light-hearted, even in the midst of fervent debates. Grover greatly admired Johns ability to handle conflict, but he had wondered whether Johns style hadnt caused the board to give rather scant attention to some important issues. But pressing John on an issue just wasnt the boards style, Grover had observed. His fellow board members were extremely loyal to John. They had confidence in him. Anyone attempting to challenge him would surely risk being viewed as an obstructionist, Grover thought.

Silence broke the buzz of the board meeting. The discussion was over, and board members were looking to John for the final word. Outland Company was being sued by an employee, Janice Jorgenson, who was charging an Outland manager, Billy Joe Smith, with sexual harassment. John Walker, in his usual, relaxed manner, looked around the room. Ive known Billy Joe for years, he said, and he assures me that he wasnt involved in anything like that. With a wry smile, he added You know, it getting so bad that if you so much as look at some of those libber girls, youre in trouble. I guess Janice fits that bill. John continued Our attorneys arent worried.

Grover knew he lacked management experience in dealing with personnel problems, but he couldnt help thinking something was a miss. There has to be a better way to handle this, he thought. But was it his place to bring it up? No one else seemed to be concerned, and they had all been on the board much longer than Grover. An after all, wasnt Grovers primary responsibility to look out for the financial interests of his venture capital company, Southern Sun? Still, he wondered, didnt he have some responsibility for the value tone set by the organization?

But if he raised a stink now, he thought, it might not accomplish any thing anyway, and it might misdirect valuable energy away from managing the companys tight growth schedule. Besides, he argued to himself, board members shouldnt micro manage; personnel issues are managements responsibility. But why did he have that sinking feeling in his gut? And what could he do about it?

This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......This is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Coca-Cola Company own or not own their bottling and distribution facilities.......

There are many advantages to Coca Cola Company not owning their own bottling and distribution facilities. The main advantage is that the organisational structure will be more flexible, allowing Coca Cola company to react more quickly to opportunities and changes in both the external and internal environments. In addition, as the subsidiaries have invested capital into the local bottling and distribution facilities, they have a vested interest in the success of Coke in regional areas. As a result, the bottlers and distributors often undertake their own market research to further ensure the success of the product. This is beneficial to Coca Cola Company as it reduces their market research and product development costs and the likelihood of failure in regional areas.

However, if the Coca Cola Company did own their own bottling and distribution there are a number of disadvantages. Primarily, the organisational structure would become more rigid and less able to respond to changes and opportunities in the internal and external environment. Also, as the structure would be more rigid, strategies would be more long term and greater time and investment would be needed to launch a product into a new environment. In conclusion the decision for Coca Cola Company not to own their own bottling and distribution is a wise decision as it allows greater structural flexibility and quicker reaction times.

Hi, I am going to tell you how I built a plane and flew it in this class. There were only two people in my group. At first I was nervous because I didn't know what I was in for. I surprised myself because I was wrong. This project was so much fun, especially when we got to fly the planes.

In this project I built a model airplane. I also learned what the different parts of an airplane do. I learned that the fuselage is the part of the plane that holds the people on the plane. The flaps help the plane land. The part of the plane that helps it move up and down is called the elevator wing. The aileron wings are one of the most important wings, they make the plane turn right and left. The steps for constructing this rubber band powered airplane are the following 1. Get an exacto knife and cut the wood to the shape of the wings on the paper that was handed out to us, . Take the wood, and make sure that all the measurements are perfect, . After you are done with that, take all the parts and glue them neatly together without gluing it to the paper, 4. Take some sandpaper and sand the top of the front of the plane so you could put the propeller on, 5. After that the rubber band goes on the bottom of the plane, 6. Have a lot of fun while flying your airplane. My partner is a very helpful person to work with me while building the plane, he always knew what he was doing and what he had to do at all times. Both of us began a little nervous about how to fly the plane but after a while we both got the hang of it and did it great. He was very fun to work with. For us the strategy that worked best was winding the plane up a little bit more then usual and then to fly it…. We both used that strategy. Our teacher put different ailerons on the plane and we flew it exactly the way he told us to and we both landed on the tarp a couple of times but it was still a lot of fun while we did it. I found that the flight simulator was very realistic and it was very fun. The instrumentations helped me to fly because I needed to see how fast I was going and how high I was off the ground, if I would have hit the ground, I would crash and then learn from my mistakes. That is what I needed the speedometer for. I needed to see if I were going into a stall and the picture with the plane and ball showed me, if I stalled in the air, I would have crashed. The steps of landing are, you have to put your flaps down, your throttle down, and you have to gently and slowly push the steering handle inward. Also you have to be sure that you are flying strait when landing because if you were turning it would most likely crash into the ground and not land.

My plane flew about 56 feet and hit the tarp four times. On the flight simulator I landed many times and even did a few touch and goes. If I built the plane again right now, I wouldn't put as much glue so the plane could have weighed less. If the plane weighed less, it would fly better and wouldnt crash as much as it did before. Before I started this project I was almost sure that I was going to fail because it looked so hard and confusing. It looked very hard with all of the cutting and measurements but it turned out to be pretty easy. I enjoyed this very much because of all the information my teacher taught me before we started the project. I think that I did extremely well because I learned a lot and was successful with this project. I think I deserve a good grade because worked well with my partner and put in a very good effort into what we had built. Thank you for taking your time to listening to my paper and teaching me all i needed to know abot aeronautics.

The Travellers Story

The dark, vast expanse of the moon and starlit sky stretched ever onward with its ageless grace. Nothing stirred in its vastness apart from one, small outline against the backdrop of the stars behind it. None of the various nocturnal creatures, going about their nightly business noticed the small shape moving through the sky, all that is, except for one. A traveller, moving through the forests below had speid the bird. The small creature had followed him for many miles of his great journey and had not gone unnoticed from his ever-alerted gaze. There was an expression of great urgency etched into the travellers weather-worn face as he treaded onward through the mist-ridden pine forests. Stretching out above the forest canope were several hills from which small lights could be seen, these warm and welcoming lights were a sure sign of civilisation in even these, the most remote of areas.

As the dwindling hours of the night drew to a close, the traveller scurreid away from the beaten track and into the safe seclusion and envelopment of some nearby bushes. The first rays of the dawn were breaking and it was time for a respite from the physical pains of life.

Tell them, tell them the voice rang out before him as he opened his eyes and arose to his feet. He was no longer nestled in the bushel within the forest. looking around now, he found himself surrounded by visions hell itself. Large, grin jawed daemonic beings tortured, maimed and slaughtered all of the men, women and children alike that he saw about him. Their palpable screams of agony resounded off the tall, Granite spires and walls that encompassed the land around them. Tell them, tell them the voice rang out again, though noticably more shrill than before, and in front of the travellers very eyes appeared a knight, clad in brilliant shining mail,a golden crown atop his head and a white cape around his shoulders. this has happened before the knight proclaimed, a sorrofull tone ever present in his voice. A great toll of blood was paid before their banishment finally came, u know of what i speak traveller, it has been foretold, and you must warn them, warn them so that this cannot happen again. Indeed the traveller understood all too well. After all this was not the first time that this had happened to him. The dream had occured many times before and he knew exactly what was to be done. The warnings of the past were reiterated as before. Like always, his nightmare finally departed with the same message do not let any who stand in your way live, you must not be stopped. Finally it ended, allowing him into the peaceful sleep that he so craved.

Cheap University Papers on The travellers story

Awakening with a start, his eyes came into focus and he glanced upwards towards the sun, it was setting, he had slept here for too long. quickly, he rose to his feet and began walking back to the road, the traveller quickly became aware that there were more than his own feet travelling the dust sewn path. Torches in the distance, and shouting. Turning to face the approaching people, he started chanting incantations, drawing runes and cutting strange, twisting shapes into his skin with the knife drawn from its sheath on his hip. These wards would be needed if he were to survive the following moments. Deep inside, the knowledge of what was about to happen haunted him. There he his shouted one voice from amongst the crowd of people that was now fast approaching, hes the one responsible for all this another cried,Kill him many shouted.Hold your ground traveller a dark haired man creid. The ringleader of the mob had pushed his way to the head of the group, and was now standing a matter of feet away from the strange hooded pirgrim. Everyone fell silent in the group as the dark haired man now spoke.Traveller, you came to our town, stopping quickly for supplies four nights before last. There was a short pause while he composed himself and continued, since you stopped there, four people have died of strange illness, never seen by any in this area before. Many of our cattle were found slaughtered, strange, pus filled wounds covering their bloated bodies. Finally, all of the grain in our storehouses appears to have been poisoned. A few people began to jeer and raise brandished weapons, but were quickly stopped and quietened. Therefor, he began we charge you with the crime of murder, as no other can be held responsible for these acts, it is my duty as local magistrate to sentence you to death. Enforcement of these, your crimes, will be done quickly and righteously. Everybody waited quietly, waiting, waiting for the strangers respnse to his charge. I will say only these words lifting his hood back, an evil smile formed on his face. A few people began shouting again, be silent, all of you, i have not gone through so many visions of hell to bandy creed words with witless worms. They hushed, strangely finding themselves unable to reply although nobody knew why. I have seen the many wonders of this world, i have seen the tallest of mountains, the greatest oceans and the farthest reaches of men, and although it pains me, i have also forseen each and every one of your deaths. You cannot be allowed to stop me. the crowd were amazed. How could he dare show insolence in the face of such adversity ?. A few people began to realize something was wrong. somethings in the woods a person towards the back shouted. As people looked around they could see them, eyes, glinting in the fading light of the sun, a breif sight of fur rushing by and the flash of snarling teeth. Everybody forgot about trying to attack the strange traveller, instead beginning to panic and run away, but it was too late, as the plague wolves leapt upon their quarry with savage ferocity, the traveller knew that none of them would escape.

Several hours had passed, the wolves had dragged the bodeis of their victims away, the traveller stood looking at the carnage he had caused. It had to be like this he reminded himself,The darkness that has reached these lands would have claimed them anyway, and i must not be stopped in my task, it is for the greater good of this world that i do it. A whinneying in the distance drew his attention away from the scene. The huge black hoarse rode toward him, stopping by his side. It was riderless, a sure sign that they had sent it for him. After mounting the creature and departing, he speid the raven flying overhead. Why was it following him ?, the traveller was sure he would find out. As the sun set, he turned left away from the main road and up a hill. He was drawing nearer to his goal...

- In 1840 the second period of the industrial revolution begun. England changed from cultural society to an industrial society. There were growth in every field of life and that was in a positive way. New lands were taken and new elements were found and that made a change in the way of thinking. So social relations changed because of economic and due to that individualism started. So there was a change in every aspect of life towards good or bad.

- Ideals changed which means faith changed. So the new faith for the modern man became science and it is the prime motive for the movement.

- Modernism has gone under stages.

1- Optimism it begun with great illusion of saving man and giving him the security in 1840-100.

- Skepticism in 100-1 there was two economic recessions and 1st world war. Problems have started; there were poverty and unemployment. So people started to ask questions about science. So it is a period of doubt about the scientific achievements and their future.

- Disillusionment the nd world war was the last event that destroyed the illusion of science. People is suffering from science and it is clear now that it is the curse not the bless. All that started in 154 till now.

- After the nd world war literature changed because of it and also the human attitude to life changed. The nd world war was a great shock for man.

-Look Back in Anger is a play by John Osbroue written in 15. it talks about the anger of the lies about science in the past. So it shows that the modern man suffers the present because the past has proved to be a lie; which means that the future is gloomy and uncertain.

Jimmy Pooter, the leading character in the play, says Nobody thinks, nobody cares. No beliefs, no convictions and no enthusiasm. Just another Sunday evening!. These lines summarize the tragedy of man.

- So man moved from illusion to active commitment to ideals and falling to reality to passive isolation and alienation. That happened because of

1. Nationalism it changed into colonialism. So it was abused and worse than that colonialism changed to racism.

. Religion all colonial countries used religion as a means of colonialism by making the soldiers able to fight and kill for their countries.

. Science it is used as a means of destruction.

These ideals were abused due to that the tragedy of man happened.

- Greek Tragedy and the Modern World is a book written by Leo Aylen in 154. In it the author talks about the western tradition which lies on united church and the scientific method that caused man misery.

When we talk about united church we talk about spiritual sphere. When we talk about the science we talk about physical sphere. So the modern man suffers like the ancient man.

- Instead of active participation in building the world based on nationalism, religion and science, the modern man suffers from those ideals. So it begun to means nothing to him.

- Man at the beginning of the movement was at the move to reach self-realization. From this the modern man found himself on the run. So he was full of hope on the move but on the run he became full of fear. Also he fears from the other.

- The conclusion that the modern man reached is that he is rootless and futureless.

Jos Verstappen has admitted he would love to end his Formula 1 career winning a Grand Prix, possibly powered by a Ferrari or BMW engine.

The Dutchman currently drives for the struggling Minardi team, who it's fair to say are rear-runners. Verstappen has hinted an idea that smaller teams who opted for the testing on a Friday before the race weekend, could relay data back to a bigger team in exchange for the same during the weekend.

"It would be great if a big team like Ferrari worked with a smaller team like Minardi - in a partnership. Or even a team like Williams." He added. "We could give feedback from the Friday morning test session and work with the big team in a number of areas."

On what he hopes for his future in Formula 1, 'The Boss' concluded. "Every year, my age goes even more in the wrong direction. I mean, it wouldnt be too bad to drive a one year old Ferrari would it?"

My expectations were definitely met by BEDROOM FARCE. I didn't expect them to keep my attention or make me laugh. My attention was definitely kept and I liked the play. At the end of the show I felt like it was well worth the time, and I felt like I may have ripped SCC off by only paying three dollars!

I had no idea what to expect. I didn't personally know any of the actors, even though I am in the same class as two of them, and I had definitely never heard of Alan Ayckbourn, so I consider my eyes virgin eyes to this production. The title did fool me a bit, there was no monkey business and it wasn't a farce either. I defined farce as a light comedy. This is not light, it is very funny. I laughed during and after the play when I was remembering some of the funny things that were said.

This play is about four couples and takes place in three bedrooms. The play in general is about the way married couples in different stages treat one another. Also the play is about the ways that people deal with their relationship problems. Some go from friend to friend totally self absorbed, tiring out the friends while others just ignore the things they don't like about their mate and coexist peacefully. The ideas of the play were very easy to understand while watching the play but very difficult to repeat on paper or to a friend. An example is, there are four couples in three bedrooms, one couple is the mother and father of another couple who are friends with another couple who is having a party and is going to invite the ex of one of the couples who are fighting…and WHEW! I am getting confused, aren't you? However, the play was delivered very clearly and very organized. I identified with little parts of almost all the characters. I know what it feels like to be in bed with a bad back and a boyfriend who could care less, I also identified with Kate and her playful relationship with Malcom.

Jessica Jervinsky who played "Kate"was by far the best actress in the play for me. Her facial expressions and her body movement truly captured the essence of "Kate" and kept my attention throughout the entire play. I also liked the way that Delia (Nikita Bleeker) and Ernest (Boyd Branch) related to each other. They worked so well together and they never led me to believe that they weren't really a married couple. Earnest and Delia related to one another by knowing when to listen, from experience, and when to ignore each other. On the contrary, Kate and Malcom play jokes on each other and are very different from the more established couple.

Custom Essays on Bedroom farce

I had no doubt that Director Tracy Hill-Dressler would help the actors to perform convincingly. It was easy to hear and see everything going on and the stages space was very well used. I enjoyed the lighting and the way that each room was decorated. The small and cozy SCC theatre makes a huge difference in terms of my enjoyment of the play. I could see and hear the actors, I was able to follow each couple flawlessly throughout the different incidents of the play. The way each room was decorated led me to know a lot about each couple personality and the way they viewed life.

This play is worth attending. I went alone because my boyfriend didn't want to see a student production. I had never seen a production at SCC and I didn't want to force him to going. Instead, I sat next to two couples from London who kept saying "Is that what Americans think we sound like?" This was funny to me because I thought the accents were very believable. After the play when I was with my boyfriend, I giggled to myself when I would think of the funny events or lines in the play. He really missed out. I can now say with confidence to anyone to go see a SCC production play.

This essay is about William Shakespeares Othello. It focuses on Iagos words to Othello, O, beware, my lord, of Jealousy. It is the green-eyed monster. in act , scene and just how important this warning was not only for Othello, but also for Roderigo and for Iago.

Before considering the importance of Iagos words, it is important to define what jealousy means. According to The New Lexicon Websters Encyclopedic Dictionary of the English Language, jealousy is a state of fear, suspicion, revenge or envy caused by a real or imagined threat or challenge to ones possessive instincts. It may be provoked by rivalry, in sexual love, by competition or by desires for the qualities or possessions of another.

Roderigo is foolish and even at times unusually feeble-minded. This explained partially by Roderigos jealousy he is infatuated with Desdemona and has been for some time. He is willing to do anything to win her love. He is jealous that Desdemona loves Othello and not him. In accordance with the definition of jealousy, Roderigo desires the possessions of another. It is this jealousy which moves him to do many evil things in the play. He pays Iago large amounts of money to conjure up a scheme to acquire Desdemona. He gives in to Iago at the beginning of the play. In effect he has become the villain's disciple. By doing this, he himself has adopted the green-eyed monster image. In act two, he is prompted by Iago to cause a commotion and begin a fight with Cassio. Later in act four, scene two, Roderigo is convinced by Iago to kill Cassio. In act five, scene one, Roderigo attempts to kill Cassio but only manages to wound him. At the same time Cassio wounds Roderigo. Iago (who was watching this fight) leaves only to re-enter later and kill Roderigo. Roderigos jealousy brought upon his downfall.

Most people do not think of jealousy as Iagos downfall, but in essence, jealousy has many negative effects on Iago. By using Iago, Shakespeare has shown just how powerful jealousy really is. Iago is cunning, crafty, intellectual and intelligent. Despite seeming to be impermeable to negative emotions such as jealousy, the exact opposite seems to happen. Iago can not accept the fact that Othello overlooks him and appoints Cassio as his lieutenant. Iago finds it appalling and is jealous that he wasnt promoted. Iago fits the definition of jealousy because he is in a state of revenge which is provoked by competition. This jealousy made Iago the villain or as was put in the play, the green-eyed monster. The play focuses on his plot to ruin Othello because he wasnt chosen.

Cheap Custom Essays on Othello

Near the end of the first act, Iago explains to Roderigo that Othello and Desdemona will be undone by his wit. As he states it, separating Othello and Desdemona becomes a challenge to him and the forces of evil If sanctimony and a frail vow betwix an erring barbarian and a supersubtle Venetian be not too hard for my wits and all the tribe of hell, thou shalt enjoy her. Iago uses his wit, his scheming or cunning , to make Cassio lose his credibility in Othellos eyes, initially by coercing Cassio to lose control at the party and begin to fight. Then by making it appear that Desdemona is having a secret romance with Cassio. But in the end, minor errors (but very important errors) contributed to his downfall. The first being that Roderigo was unable to kill Cassio and the second being his wife, Emilia, who in the end can no longer keep quiet and lets Othello know that he has been deceived by Iago. From this point on, there was a different view of Iago. He could no longer uphold his honest Iago image. He was now evil Iago. Perhaps Iagos plan would have been successful if he wasnt so persistent in destroying Othello and Desdemona. He was already successful with destroying Cassios reputation and his own reputation was improving drastically. Jealousy and his thirst for power made him continue and ultimately lead to his failure.

Out of all the characters in this play, it is most obvious that jealousy was what ruined Othello. Jealousy has the most profound effect on Othello. Of course, it is Iago who plants vivid pictures of Desdemona and Cassio sleeping together in Othellos head. However, Othello is a simple man. He has never had to deal with this type of situation. As a result, he had very extreme reactions because of his jealousy. Othello tells Iago that he wants Iago to kill Cassio and that he will kill Desdemona. His love for Desdemona is so strong and still jealousy overpowers him. Jealousy has made him lose his ability to reason or think logically. In fact, Iago has been so successful with his plan that he was able to put Othello into a state of madness. He even loses control of his body and Iago explains it as epileptic seizures.

At the end of the play, after Othello smothers Desdemona to death, it is brought to his attention that he was set up by Iago. In horror, he realizes his mistake. Just before his suicide, Othello explains that all will have to refer to him as one that loved not wisely but too well (act five, scene two, line 44). His lack of experience brought upon his ruin.

One of the stylistic devices in Othello is the way in which Shakespeares presentation of jealousy is made almost equivalent to that emotion. In other words, jealousy is described throughout the play as a monstrous emotion that becomes increasingly more destructive and intense. As jealousy is always growing, so does Shakespeares presentation of jealousy grow throughout the play. Shakespeares attention to jealousy is slight in the opening act., Then in act two, jealousy moves swiftly to centre stage and stays there the rest of the play.

Throughout Shakespeare's Othello, the major theme of jealousy is apparent. According to Microsoft Bookshelf, jealousy, by definition, means "resentful or bitter in rivalry." The tragedy Othello focuses on the doom of Othello and the other major characters as a result of jealousy. The theme of jealousy is prominent throughout the play as it motivates the characters' actions. In Shakespeare's Othello, jealousy is portrayed through the major characters of Iago and Othello. It utterly corrupts their lives because it causes Iago to show his true self, which in turn triggers Othello to undergo an absolute conversion that destroys the lives of their friends. Iago, "most honest" (I, iii, 7) in the eyes of his companions, is, in fact, truly the opposite. His feelings of jealousy uncovers his actual self. D.R. Godfrey concludes this after hearing Iago state that he "ha' look'd upon the world for four times seven years" (I, iii, 11-). In his essay, Godfrey explains that Iago "has arrived at one of the great seven year…critical stages" (41) of his life, causing him to become "jealous, embittered, … [and] vengeful." (41). Iago's dupe, Roderigo, is the only person, in fact, to know this previously; Iago tells Roderigo that he is "not what [he is]" (I, i, 6). He possesses this jealousy because he is distressed that Othello chose Michael Cassio, a "valiant" (II, i, 8), "Florentine…arithmetician" (I, i, 1-0), over himself for the position of lieutenancy. Jealousy "divorces [Iago]…from rationality", Godfrey states (418). This loss of rational causes Iago to "make a life of jealousy" (III, iii, 04) and plots to destroy Othello. Although Iago has a reputation of being "full of love and honesty" (III, iii, 18), he is responsible for destroying many lives and is considered "perhaps one of the most villainous characters in all literature" (Godfrey 4). Iago alludes to Othello that his wife, Desdemona, has been unfaithful with Cassio. Iago initially intends to hurt Othello and make him regret appointing Cassio as his lieutenant; however, he ends up hurting others in the process. Iago's jealousy causes his true character, one of "vicious[ness]" (Godfrey 41), to become noticeable. This, in turn, creates a new Othello to emerge, one "utterly possessed, calling out for blood and vengeance" (Godfrey 418). Othello, considered by A.C. Bradley one of "the most romantic figure[s] among Shakespeare's heroes" (1) and a "dignified" () "poet" (1), quickly becomes entranced by Iago's "vengeful[ness]" (Godfrey, 41). Othello, placing entire confidence in Iago's honesty, has been "moved by the warnings of [his]…honest…friend" (Bradley ). At first, Othello does not believe Iago; but his "degradation is complete" (Godfrey 418) by the end of the "Temptation Scene" (III, iii). Even though Iago produces a minimal amount of proof, a "handkerchief that Iago may have seen Cassio wipe his beard with, and Cassio's alleged…dreams" (Godfrey 418), Othello is completely "possessed by the madness of jealousy" (Godfrey 41). He immediately "passes sentence[s] of death" (Godfrey 418) to Cassio and Desdemona, deciding that Desdemona should die "some swift means of death" (III, iii, 47). One can tell that Iago's jealousy has, in fact, corrupted Othello. This great poet (Bradley 1), Othello, previously had spoken of Desdemona, his wife, as "wondrous" (I, iii, 160) and "Heaven[ly]" (I, iii, 58); after hearing from Iago that Desdemona and Cassio are having an affair, his tone changes and begins to speak like Iago. He begins to use "gross, animal imagery" (Rocchino --00) to make references to his wife and women in general. For example, he calls Desdemona a "haggard" (III, iii, 61), while also labeling her derogatory names like "lewd minx" (III, iii, 487) and "whore" (IV, ii, ). Although Othello is most affected by Iago's jealousy, the repercussions on others are very evident. Othello's jealousy destroys his love through his hatred. He can no longer have doubts about his wife's guilt; therefore, he must finally act against it by "assuming the mask of impersonal justice" (Godfrey 40). He must "kill" (V, ii, ) Desdemona. Even though Desdemona tries to tell him the truth, Othello is completely irrational, refusing to listen (V, ii). Emilia, too, is murdered as a repercussion of Iago's jealousy. When she states the truth that she "found by fortune [the handkerchief] and did give it to [her] husband" (V, ii, 5), Iago, calling her a "villainous whore" (V, ii, 7), stabs Emilia from behind, murdering her. Othello then seriously wounds Iago with his "sword of Spain" (V, ii, 5). He does not want to kill Iago because it is "happiness to die" (V, ii, 8). Instead, he wants him to live a life of suffering. As the truth comes out about Iago's deception, Othello realizes the damage he has caused by believing Iago, which led to the deaths of Roderigo, Desdemona, and Emilia. He then "smote[s] him[self]" (V, ii, 55), resulting in his immediate death. The punishments are, according to Godfrey, "justified" (4) in that the "destroyer is by himself destroyed" (4). Because the major theme of jealousy is apparent throughout Shakespeare's Othello, one realizes that the play focuses on the doom of Othello and the other major characters as a result of this jealousy. The theme of jealousy is prominent throughout the play as it motivates the characters' actions. The major characters of Iago and Othello clearly possess this jealousy and show how it affects them. Iago is forced to expose his actual nature and Othello undergoes a total transformation from a normal human to a spiteful monster. Obviously, jealousy does cause people to change in horrific ways.

Many interracial couples are faced with negative reactions from society, making it hard for them to have a regular relationship. They have to deal with disapproval from their own race, pessimistic reactions from family and friends, and not to mention the ignorance of society as a whole. Why is interracial dating so controversial? Is not racism a thing of the past, or is that what we would like to believe?

People who date and socialize with people of different racial groups frequently experience negative reactions. Many of the disapproving messages come from people of their own racial group. They scoff and make fun of the idea that they are dating someone with a different tone of skin or ethnic background. According to a poll taken in 1, many people believe that people should date within their race to keep the unity within the ethnic community. It is like they believe in sequestering each racial group. They believe that every race is uniquely special and should not be integrated. Mixing races would only cause problems.

Probably one of the most hurtful things in life is having to deal with family and friends who are not supportive of the people you truly like and love. One might wonder what may cause family and friends to rebel against interracial dating. As explained in Verna Stolkes' book entitled Marriage, Class and Color in the 1th Century Cuba, many families may oppose the bonding of their loved one with someone of another race because of political reasons, religious reasons, or family pride. Apparently, many are not able to handle the conflicts and struggles brought on by family and friends. They need sanctions or permission from their parents to see if it is okay to date out of their race. The parent's influential power causes them to be skeptical and doubtful about being involved in such relationship that they decide to end a perfect relationship in order to make them happy.

Many people who date out of their race are likely to encounter tension and criticism from society as a whole. People tend to have a superficial understanding about interracial dating and forget about the true meaning of a relationship. What temerity is this, receiving constant stares and negative reactions, it is completely rude and ignorant of people.

Write my Essay on Dating inter-racialy cheap

It is unequivocal that interracial dating is not easy. Is any relationship easy, interracial or not? But dating and marriage are not about pleasing others. It is about being with the person you love and want to spend the rest of your life with. Race is not an issue when love is concerned. What is important is the factors that make the relationship work, such as trust and love, not what is pleasing to others.

Thus, why is society making it harder on them? How many interracial couples have been on the receiving end of many offensive stares when walking down the street? Why do people care? It is an issue of concern only to the couple. If one chooses to date a person of another race, why should society be bothered? It is an issue that needs to be dealt with by the individual people involved. Society is simply wasting there time by interfering with the couples relationship. It is wrong and unethical on their part to make it hard for them. If a couple is in love let them be happy. Those who repudiate interracial dating and feel that it is wrong need to attempt breaking down the color barriers that exist so highly in their lives. We were not put on this earth to criticize people on the way they feel, but to venerate and respect them. If two people can love each other, what difference does it make as to their roots and color.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

"FAS stand for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. FAS, a disorder characterized by growth retardation, facial abnormalies, and central nervous system dysfunction (CNS), is caused by woman's use of alcohol during pregnancy" (FAQS, 00). Several studies have found that women, who drink while being pregnant, put their developing fetus at risk of birth defects and spontaneous abortion (FAS, 00). When a pregnant woman drinks alcohol, it passes easily through the placenta to her fetus. The alcohol interferes with the ability of the fetus to received oxygen and nourishment for normal cell development(FAS, 14). "The U.S Public Heath Service has indicated that there is no safe level of alcohol use during pregnancy. All drinks containing alcohol can hurt an unborn baby. A standard 1-ounce can of beer has the same amount of alcohol as a 4-ounce glass of wine"

(Wegmann). The effects of alcohol on a fetus vary, depending on the amount and frequency of the pregnant woman's drinking and the fetus stage of development. The mother's age, time drinking, and food ingested with the alcohol all affect the amount passed to the baby (MSN Health). Babies affected by alcohol can have some or all of the clinical signs of " Fetal Alcohol Syndrome". Children prenatally exposed to alcohol can suffer from mental retardation, physical and behavioral problems.

Most importantly, children exposed to high amounts of alcohol during pregnancy are most likely to be born with mental retardation. As the fetus develops, cells move from one part of the brain to another in pattern. If this migration is interrupted these cells may not grow or function in a properly manner and it can lead to brain damage. Recently, researchers analyzed in more detail the size of the brain in children with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and found that they had been born with reduced brain size and displaced nerves. The most affected areas in the brain are the following The "Corpus Callosum". Abnormalities have been linked to deficits in attention, intellectual functioning, reading, learning, and verbal memory. People who have been exposed to alcohol parentally may exhibit impairments on their performances such as the ability to plan and achieve a goal. People exposed to alcohol prenatally, lack of imagination and curiosity, does not understand concepts such as time and money, and have poor language comprehension. Also, the "Hippocampus" is affected causing loss of the ability to store new memories. For example, they cannot remember a doctors appointment. Another area of the brain that is affected by prenatal alcohol exposure is the Cerebellum, which is involved with balance and coordination. People with mental retardation cannot solve problems accurately, and cannot generate rapid responses throughout the entire life. In addition, studies describe children with FAS to perform poorly at all assigned duties (Mattson).

Moreover, children prenatally exposed to alcohol can be born with major birth defects. Exposure during the first trimester damages the facial features, and is born with growth retardation. Birth defects of alcohol exposure can occur in the first to 8 weeks of pregnancy before the woman even knows she is pregnant (FAS, 00). The facial abnormalities are the most common characteristics of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. About 50% of children with FAS have physical deformities such as small eye openings, alterations in nose, an absent of elongated groove between the upper lip and nose, flattened midface, and underdevelopment of the upper or lower jaw. Likewise, prenatal alcohol exposure affects growth at follow up. Studies have found that growth deficits are maintained as the children get older, and it is associated with decreased in birth weight and height. Children with FAS are small for their age (Larkby). As the baby grows and develops, some abnormalities may become apparent. However, some symptoms may be attributed to other condition (MSN Health).

As a result, about 80% of people with FAS commonly exhibit behavioral problems (MSN health). These problems can include poor concentration and attention. Children with FAS cannot live independently because they cannot overcome in life as an adult (Larkby). In addition, children with FAS exhibit higher rate problems; they also demonstrate poor socialization and communication skills because they have antisocial behavior. Behavioral problems can vary depending on the amount of alcohol drinks consumed during pregnancy. In one study, 4-year-old children whose mothers drank one to five drinks per day during pregnancy were less attentive and more active when observed at home, compared with children of control mothers who drank less. At age 7 1/, the children were less attentive and took a longer time to react to a stimulus on a Continuous Performance Task (Larkby). As the affected child gets older is at risk for failure in school because of attention problems. Also, as a teen or adult, he or she is at risk for inappropriate sexual behavior, and substance abuse. In addition, people with FAS tend to have legal problems such as cheating, lying, and stealing (Larkby).

In summary, " Fetal Alcohol Syndrome" is an irreversible life long condition that affects every aspect of a child's life and the life of his or her surroundings. However, FAS is the only birth defect that can be prevented

(FAQS, 00). Unfortunately, women sometimes wait until they confirmed the pregnancy to stop drinking. By then it is too late, the embryo has gone to through several weeks of critical development, a period which exposure to LaterWork Cited

E-mail sucks. Email is takes up to much time. E-mail is completely a waste of time. E-mail is the leader in spam. Half of everyones e-mail account is curropt. It is filled with spam. Spam that comes in the form as porn. There are many different advertisors who use e-mailing as a way to try to reach new consumers.

Have you ever looked around you, at your place in life, and found that you have more than one place in life? I found that I have as many places in life as I know people. Each person puts me at a different place in their life. Whether it be in some cases a friend or a best friend or a love or a person that just sends you really huge emails all the time and you have no idea what you did to deserve it. My point is this, how can we have just one place in life when we affect so many people in different ways? It cannot be. I can prove this by using myself as an example. Eryn and I love each other, for her, that puts me somewhere near one of the greatest things to ever happen in my life (Eryn, I can assure you, you are very [okay, so a little over] that). But then there is a boy that used to go to my school; with him, I ranked somewhere near Scum of the Earth thats been eaten through by many earthworms and icky bugs. I just cant be both, so I had to ask myself if my place in life was somewhere between the two, or it I was just one of the two. Then, it came to me that I was both. Weird revelation. I hope that made sense to all of you.

Now, I am going to tell you all about one of my favorite philosophical points that is mine and mine alone the rewind button. Ever sit down sometimes and think God, I wish that I could just press the rewind button and go back to do it all over agian? Well, my feeling is, if you hit the rewind button, dont you lose all that knowledge that you gained since the point you go back to? Will you not then make the same choices as you did the first time? Will you not then choose to hit the rewind button when you come to that point in your life again? If you do, wont you then forever trap yourself in a loop of time that you can never break free of and therefore, your life stops at the point you hit the rewind button? You might as well die instead, because your life would go no further. Once again, I hope that made sense.

This is a point that my friend taught to me. His name was Jack, and he is now resting comfortably with God after he took his life a few years ago We, as people, never do anything without some measure of greed motivating us. Think about it, you can list a thousand selfless acts, yet you can say this to any one of them they were done to make the doer feel better. Someone jumps out in front of stranger to stop a bullet. If the person doesnt take the bullet, will that person ever get rid of the feeling that they could have done something and did not. I like the example of a fathers daughter being kidnapped. The father wants his daughter back because without her, he would be miserable. If she were to die, he would never get to experience her growing up. He would be really more concerned with whether or not he would get the joy from his daughters life, not so much that she enjoy her own life.

You see, as humans, we are programmed from birth to survive. Back in the days of the cavemen and primitive man, that survival was purely physical. But, as we evolved, we evolved emotions, which we also needed to survive. So, the modern human survival instinct is to protect not only the physical, but the emotional as well. This leads to greed, which becomes the motivating factor behind all of our actions.

Dont think about these things too much, if you do, they can ruin life for you. You have to read them, understand the meaning. Decide whether you agree or disagree or somewhere in between. Then, forget them unless you need them. Because if you think of all this, its a pretty horrible commentary on human beings. If you think about these things too much, you will begin to hate people. Thats a bad thing. Dont let the fact that people are imperfect get to you. Just forget it, because if you hate humans, then you must hate yourself, and, as in the case of Jack, it will lead you to destroy that which you hate.

I just thought of something I have no idea why I am writing all of this to all of you. It doesnt really make sense does it? To just tell all you everything I think when I dont even know half of you all that well. But you know what, but oh well, Im doing it, and Ive gotten this far, so why stop now?

We, as humans have a tendency to need other humans to know what we think. I use email and personal communication to get my message(s) across. Some use (and I am in no way condoning these acts) bombs, murder, rape. Others use pen and paper, computers, body language, lifestyles, and, of course, the internet.

It is very easy for us as people to say that our problems are worse than anyone elses. It stems from our need to have something, just one thing, that gets the attention for us and no one else. The problem is that because were all human, we all think along the same lines, and we know that by elevating our problems above everybody elses we can get more attention, feel sorry for ourselves, hoping it will make others feel sorry for us. Just a thought...

Myth Anybody is better than anybody else.

Truth Theres no way to measure.

Some people tell me that I my writing is some of the best they have ever seen. Some people think I write because I can. Some people think I write to get a point across. Some think that it is to tell a story. Some think I do it so that I can sell it. Some think that I do it so that I can brag about what I can do. I assure you all, I do not do it for any of those reasons. I write because I have an idea that can be transformed into words that can then be read by others. I write because I love to see page after page of paper filled with my handwriting. I do if because I love to create things. That is my passion in life, that is what drives me forward. I write because it lets me create anything I want. I used to build with legos as my main thing. Then, I drew pictures. Then, thanks to one person, I embarked on writing. I have not stopped for three years, and I have not plan to ever stop. Whether people like my writing or not is not why I do it (If I were to say that it did not matter to me what people thought of my writing, I would be lying. My writing is something that comes from me, and every human cares about what they create, and therefore what people think of what we create).

Do any of you wonder why I am writing this? Because if youre still wondering, I figured it out. A lot of you think of me as a nut or a goof, or dont even think of me. I am trying to do what every person alive tries to do alter your perception of me to what I want you to think of me. I guess I dont feel that I want you all to think of me as just the good that does the voices and the aliens (though those are extremely fun to come up with and write...). I wanted all of you to think of me (and perhaps some of you do) as a person that thinks about things, has a little knowledge (not much, just a little) about people. A person that understands why people do what people do (which is something I cannot write, but I know very well).

Myth Theres no meaning to life.

Truth Its different for each person.

Have you ever looked in the mirror, only to wonder if youre the reflection, and your reflection is only you? that you spend forever deluding yourself that you exist and that what happens to you is only an illusion. Do you ever wish that you could pass through the mirror to find out what was really on the other side. Maybe just a bunch of backwards writing, maybe a new universe, better or worse than our own. Or maybe, just the wall behind the mirror.

In my brief sixteen years of life, I have come to realize something. Most (and I say most because there are a very few exceptions) romantic relationships are very much like paper. Once you fold it, or crumple it, you can never fully repair the damage. You can sit there and try smoothing it forever, all youll accomplish is to rip the paper. Once a crumple is made, it can never be repaired fully. It is always there, a reminder of what happened to cause the damage. The only way to erase all signs of the damage is to destroy the paper and recycle it so that it is a new relationship. I hope that made sense to everyone.

Myth Love can only end in tradgedy.

Truth If its love, it cannot be tragic.

(many people, I am sure, disagree with that last one)

Well, this must have been a wonderful email to wake up to. Its really late now, Ive been at his for a while (an hour and seven minutes). Hmmm, need to find some people who I can call at 100 in the morning so that I dont do this too much...

If anybody has an answer to this question, Id really like to hear it. The question is Why do humans have the drive/want/tendency to destroy themselves?

Can someone answer this question? What the heck is it about bad clam chowder that makes a person write everything that I just did? I really hope that someone out there can answer that. It really is a question that I would really like answered. Hang on, my stomach just turned and it made my brain turn over... Im putting the engine in drive, and here I go again... (anyone else smell smoke like the kind that comes from am engine thats having trouble?).

You know, I have found something to be an extreme rarity in this world (that was a little vague, Ill do better with the next sentence). People tend to have no love for themselves. This is a problem, even the bible (whatever version youre reading) says that a person must love oneself before others. I have found that there are very few people who actually like who they are and love themselves as people. It may sound conceited to love oneself, but isnt that the only was we can truly be happy? Because no matter who were with, no matter who we love, if we dont love ourselves, what we dont love will haunt us. Most of us get along without even noticing it, not even caring. Some of us (I am in this category) have found that love for oneself. Some of us dwell on what we dont like about ourselves until we really dont like ourselves (this tends to be a very destructive, sometimes deadly thing for many people).

I hope that all of you find a love for yourself (if you havent already). Its like Whitney Houston sang The greatest love of all is inside of me. The greatest love of all is the love for ourselves.

Look around yourself. Look at your life. What has happened in your life that was your fault? What has happened that was truly someone elses fault? What has happened that you think is someone elses fault, but if you look closely, and though you may hate to admit it, is truly your fault? Someone once wrote What we like to do is assign blame to everybody else but ourselves-- no matter how many times weve done it before If youre interested in who wrote that, ask me about it.

Myth We must all work towards the common good.

Truth Common Good can never be defined.

Well, my eyes are getting blurry, the times I have to hit the delete button are rising, so I need to go take a chug of Diet Coke.... Be right back...

Okay, Im back, but I didnt get Diet Coke, I got RC Cola-- more caffeine.

Myth Sleep deprivation makes it harder to think

Truth Sleep deprivation is a great stimulus to the mind.

Dead men do tell tales, by William R. Maples, PH.D and Michael Browning, a book about dead men who can still talk to us. This book consists of pages and 16 chapters. This book contains strange and fascinating cases of forensic anthropology. Dr. Maples is a forensic anthropologist who discusses repulsive and mined boggling tales of the world of forensic anthropology. Also, Dr. Maples will describe his intriguing career and up lifting moments of his life.

The first chapter of the book is simply titled, "Every day is Halloween." Dr. Maples begins to describe his seldom nightmares. In his description, he says that he sees "crushed and perforated skulls, lopped-off limbs and severed heads, roasted and dissolving corpses, hanks of human hair and heaps of write bones, all in a day's work at my office". Later on in the chapter Dr. Maples begins to explain how he was first introduced to the world of anthropology. Dr. Maples was a freshmen at the University of Texas. His first goal was to register for the class introduction to biology, unfortunately the class was filled up. His advisor suggested anthropology, and a combination of good luck and bad character he began his career in anthropology. Towards the end of the chapter we hear about Tom Mckern. Mr. Mckern taught his physical anthropology class. He later describes Mckern as a unique born teacher, brilliant lecturer and a charismatic person. He deeply admires Mr. Mckern as an anthropologist.

One month before he accepted his B.A. in 15 he married a girl by the name of Margaret. During his time at the University of Texas he began a job hunt. He undertook many jobs like working at the morgue or his time spent in Africa studying baboons. He said working in Africa is an unforgettable experience due to some good things and bad things. While, in Africa, Dr. Maples got malaria twice not only that he had to face angry Masai tribesmen carrying spears and escaping from charging Cape buffalo. The good news is that he learned a whole lot, developed his relationship with his wife and in Kenya his two glorious daughters were born.

The next chapter is titled "Talkative Skulls". Immediately Dr. Maples describes his feelings towards the television show "Quincy". He say's "Quincy has caused me no end of vexation and amusement." The reason behind this is because he hates it when people call him Quincy. And he says that, he is not Quincy because I am a forensic anthropologist and he is a forensic pathologist. His field of expertise is the human skeleton. In 17, Dr. Maples got his first case. The police asked him and three archaeologists to investigate. But, in the end the whole case was a fiasco, a false alarm. Eventually, he took on more cases through out the years. He describes how anthropology and crime investigation, work very well together. In a unique case, he analyzes a fragment given to him by state attorney's which turns out to be a skull fragment of an adult white female. Later developments showed that the woman was murdered with a carpenter's hatchet.

Chapter three is titled "Bolts of Bones". This chapter explains what happens to a dead body. I thought this chapter was incredibly nauseating but on the odd side interesting. Dr. Maples talks a whole lot about dead bodies. He gives us a tour of his office and work place. He then describes in detail what goes on in the laboratories. Certainly, he starts to explain the horrific reek of corpses and the decay process of the dead bodies.

The next chapter "The Enfolding Earth" Dr. Maples gives descriptive information about cute little maggots. He says that maggots are tough, resourceful creatures. He has seen many bodies that are filled with maggots inside hopping around. He then provides information about different burial techniques. The next chapter "Flotsam and Jetsam" Dr. Maples explains what he does in certain situation like dismemberment cases. He tries to put himself at the crime scene, then imagines himself in the same situations as the victims, in order for him to understand what happened.

"When the Sickness is your Soul" Mr. Maples begins to show his feelings towards suicide. He said that suicide is like a deadly disease. He tells some stories that he encountered in his early days. There was this one story that I couldn't believe. An attorney shot himself five times with a .8 magnum and when the police got there he was still alive, able to move his eyes and comprehend responses given to him. It' really sad when you think about suicide. People are so lost and the only answer they can come up with is to take there on life. "Outpacing the Fiend" is the next chapter in the book. Dr. Maples tries to elaborate the sciences of forensic anthropology. He tells us how it was developed and put into play. He explains the importance of the matter and how it can benefit us. The following chapter "unnatural nature" is an explanation of the skeletal system. I was really interested in this chapter because it taught me the difference between male and female skeletal systems. Also the chapter spoke of, aging bones and how are bones are ever growing process.

The following chapters are filled with information but I started to get a little bored. Dr. Maples started to talk about his encounters with Vietnam soldiers. He explained how they had to use dental records to identify bodies that were severely damaged. Reading about dental records, reminded me how I learned about dental records and formulas in class, it was kind of a like a review. Dr. Maples then gives a big history lecture in the following chapters. He talks about the assassination of Tsar Nicholas and his family. Dr. Maples presents dental records to prove the identification of the family. In the last chapter "These Rough Notes and Our Dead Bodies" Dr. Maples begins to show his side of honor and courage. He makes his key point that bones will always tell a story and for a forensic anthropologist is, "to catch their mute cries and whispers, and to interpret them for the living, as long as I am able".

"Dead Men do Tell Tales" is an exceptional book. It was full of information about forensic anthropology. Dr. Maples made the book very interesting to read. He was direct with his explanations which help me better understand his thoughts and experiences. Dr. Maples is a man that has great knowledge of his field. When I started to read the material, I realized that I needed to give great admiration to people like Dr. Maples. I believe that one has to be very tough and intelligent in order to be in this type of profession. Ultimately, I don't really enjoy doing book reports but in this case I didn't mind at all.

Globalization is an inexorable process. In recent years, more and more countries from all continents cast their lots with globalization with the hope to prosper in this exceedingly complicated world. And just as UN secretary general Kofi Annan has aptly put it â€In any development strategy aimed at spreading the benefits of globalization, employment must be a central goal, and young people- the future leaders of the new millennium- do play a crucial role.

Globalization has brought about numerous opportunities for economic developments through technology transfer, foreign direct investments (FDI) etc. That means more new and challenging jobs in information and communication technology, biotechnology, nuclear physics, petrochemistry etc. are waiting in store for skilled youth, who may help their developing countries leapfrog certain phases of development. It is incontrovertible to claim that globalization lays the corner-stone for a new, upscale generation known as yuppies or young influentials, and enables them to work abroad for a certain time to open up new vistas and immerse themselves in new cultures, new environments. In order to meet the monumentally demanding tasks in a knowledge economy, students have to endeavor to gain work experience during college, lest they will run the risk of becoming â€walking encyclopedia of outdated information. Besides, Generation X must continually improve themselves and strive to keep abreast of the latest changes in the world. It distinctly proves that globalization helps create a sophisticated work force of youth employment in the 1st century.

Furthermore, globalization provides an omelette-and-egg perspective in youth, who are more and more willing to take risks, fully aware they cannot make an omelette without breaking the egg. Through the lessons gained from those ventures, their entrepreneurship decision-making and trouble-shooting skills- become more subtle and adept, their acumen improved and thus a resourceful generation emerges. Youth employment also benefits from globalization in a way that more young people of both genders move up in the world. It is high time for young transformational leaders to come up and become senior executives because in this new era, it is your knowledge and capability that count, not your age.

Globalization, however, is purported a double-edged knife as it results in the internationalism’s losers. Among those who have to drop out of the global game are young blue-collar workers, who see themselves being replaced by machines and dismissed from their current positions before they are fully conscious of what is really happening. Even the skilled, well-educated often lack the necessary attitudes and experience to join the labor market.

To look a bit further, globalization is denounced for sweatshops and exploitation of child labor in Third World countries. It is also condemned as the cause for terrorism to rear its ugly head, since globalization triggers nationalism; as far as youth employment is concerned, it is blamed to results in â€decadent Western cultures, lavish lifestyle, and depraved hedonism among local youth.

Globalization brings â€a life where you must compete to find a suitable place for your talent (Orstrom Moller- Danish ambassador to Singapore). Youth and notably youth employment is, therefore, greatly affected. And whether you can prosper, or even survive, depends considerably on your efforts and the intrinsic values in you.

Health Fad

The health fad Nutrisystem looks like it works great and will make you lose weight but most of these fad diets don't work at all! The requirements you have to do with this diet is to eat controlled-carbohydrate meals. For doing this they promised results within three days. On the ad it is trying to target women that are around middle age because that's what they are showing on the ad for the Nutrisystem diet. The gimmicks on this diet would be that you have to have controlled carbohydrates meals which normally taste disgusting.

While doing this diet system you have to change what you eat which is only the first step in losing weight. If you only eat well you will eventually lose a little weight but it's impossible to do it within three days! To lose weight that fast is almost impossible because you would have to virtually eat nothing and work out for about the days straight. This obviously isn't a healthy way to lose weight that fast. It would be much easier to change your eating habits and go to the gym every other day.

Personally I don't think this diet plan would work at all, because it requires no exercise. It looks great at the before and after pictures but that could also be false advertisement. If I was looking into buying this product I would have to think to myself on what I'm losing, what I'm gaining, and how I do it. In the Nutrisystem you have to change your eating habits to carbohydrate meals which doesn't sound to good, you get the results in days which would be really nice but probably won't happen, and it seems easy enough but the meals are probably not what I want to be eating. Overall I would not pick this diet because I want to eat what I want that's healthy but also tastes good to me. Also there is no working out or physical exercise so if you lose the fat you will have no muscle and will be as skinny as a little stick which would not be good at all. Maybe it works for some people but I don't think it would work out to well for me.
