This tendency has led to a pervasive and deeply held prejudice in which adults' quite frequent reliance upon imagistic, kinaesthetic, and intuitive ways of knowing are cast off as "childish" or "regressive," etc., rather than integrated into a more comprehensive view of the mind. In this course, we will explore the main currents in Western developmental thinking, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.
