The college life
Growing up I could not wait until that last day of my high school life. I was now in college the next big step to being on my own. For the first time I would not have my friends or mom there to hold my hand when I get into a troubling situation. I knew this was going to be a big step for me but I was just as excited, as I was nervous. Deciding to go to college and then what college to attend involves three major influences economically feasible, socially, and family/peer pressure.
Sierra College was my first step into the real world; a small junior college no bigger then the high school I graduated from. I was only here to complete my GED then move onto Sacramento State where I will get a degree business management. Sacramento State is going to be an overwhelming jump for me; I will not be use to the traffic of Sacramento or the city life. I have lived in Grass Valley my whole life. I am willing to change that for higher opportunity in life. Once I complete my two to three years at Sierra College then I will move down to the Sacramento area and start my journey down there.
Sacramento State is a tremendous College with a dramatic change in population. I am going to have to get use to getting lost and asking people where is business 101. I will feel as if I am a freshman again. I am going to have to get over the girls and parties that will face me at Sac St. I have heard many great things about Sac St. and I have heard a lot about the wild side it contains within its walls. I am going to have to concentrate on my work and balance my time between homework and play time. I am going to room with some of my friends at there house so getting a job will be one of the top priorities on my list to go along with the hundred other task I must do.
Sacramento State offers a lot to their students and one of the things I love the most is football. Saturday night when my team plays I will be in the front row cheering them on. Then you got the after party after the game; after the party you got the post after party. So there will be much partying going to go along with studying. Another exciting detrimental activities Sac St. offers is the atmosphere of living in the state capital. You got the Kings, River Cats, and about hours away the 4ers. All things set aside I must look at my goal which is to graduate from Sac St.
After college I will pursue my career in business and hopefully start being in charge of my own restaurant business. This will hopefully make me rich enough so that I can retire off of it and make my name famous to all the restaurants in the world. None of this would be possible though if I didn't want to go college and have the dream of owning my own restaurant. That is why the path I have chosen was the right path because in the future when I look back on this essay I will remember me sitting at home and typing this essay out and about what dreams may come next for me. All thinks to my college degree.
